In short, it appears they are drastically expanding the definition of what is a “frame or receiver” by saying, ‘well… in 1968 guns kinda usually had one receiver, so this whole notion that Glock and Sigs and AR’s have working parts housed in two receivers is blowing our minds a little…’

ReplyDeleteThey get hung up on serial numbers but fail to remember that SNs were not required until the GCA. The way I see it is they will get so convaluted in .gov that no one will be able to understand what they say/want. That could be good for gun owners in the long run.
ReplyDeleteI think they want to outlaw stripped lowers, parts kits and upper purchases whereby people build their own AR's. They hate how the AR can be changed in configuration within seconds. They can't control that.
