‘Draft’ of ATF Ghost Gun Rule

TheReload.com has a 107 page pdf that appears to be the current draft proposal of the ATF’s response to Biden’s requirement that they “do something” about Ghost Guns.

In short, it appears they are drastically expanding the definition of what is a “frame or receiver” by saying, ‘well… in 1968 guns kinda usually had one receiver, so this whole notion that Glock and Sigs and AR’s have working parts housed in two receivers is blowing our minds a little…’

  1. What else will these assholes do? They will get on everyone with an old gun that never had a serial number

  3. They get hung up on serial numbers but fail to remember that SNs were not required until the GCA. The way I see it is they will get so convaluted in .gov that no one will be able to understand what they say/want. That could be good for gun owners in the long run.

  4. I think they want to outlaw stripped lowers, parts kits and upper purchases whereby people build their own AR's. They hate how the AR can be changed in configuration within seconds. They can't control that.

    1. BATFE has already determined that just having machines, metal and 'intent' is enough to violate whatever they determine you've violated.

So, yes, learn machining. But don't frickin talk about what you're machining.

Just like everything these days, share nothing.

And that 'helpful' new friend? Government stooge.

  6. Molon Labe you dirty sonsabitches. Anonymous above is absolutely correct, they want serial numbers on everything. I linked to this at my place and said now is the time to get your uppers and lowers before they ram this through.
