Granny used to keep chickens, and for a time she had a mean old rooster. Anytime I had to walk through the barnyard I made sure to grab a tobacco stalk to defend myself. More than once those spurs drew blood.
I chased an uppity rooster around the barn yard with a revolver once. Damn things can take a bullet and keep going. Finally got the sucker. Was the most exercise Id had in a while
The only reason folks run from chickens is that they don't want to hurt the bird.
If you dan't care about the animal, let it get close enough, grab it, and wring it's neck (or whack it with a stick from a distance). Yeah, you my get a scratch or two, but the problem will be dealt with.
Maybe if Slo ever does a SOTU speech, they could play this as he walk or stumbles into the Capitol.
ReplyDeleteThe fear is real once you've been chased.
