You forgot dependable. You can depend on them to fail. That's why Biden and Newsom are wanting to build two huge wind farms off the California coast. Infrastructure, Baby!
Seeing how keen she is to get out quickly, I would give it ten minutes or so before going in. I once discovered, on Canadian prairie, that at minus 20C those things do not smell. But you still don't hang about.
#10 reminds me of when, at age 11, unsupervised in the pool, I decided to put floaties ON MY ANKLES so I could "walk in the water partially submerged".
I damn near drowned. I put them on, let go of the edge, and immediately my ankles are up on thesurface and my head below. I tried to pull them down, but couldn't. Tried to remove them but lacked the leverage to push them off of my ankle, tried to reach teh edge of the pool but couldn't get my arm up to it to grab b/c well.. it was about 4 inches over the surface of the water. I managed to get ONE breath, tried to reach the edge, started getting tired and got another breath and realized I could swim to the ladder and climb out that way.
I didn't tell my mom about it until I was like 30.
I used to sink like a rock in water, then kick off the bottom to zoom up to the surface. Took me forever to learn to swim. Even then it was a thrash fest. FFWD to 35, got a tub gut going. I jumped in, and hit neutral buoyancy about 6 feet down. I liked to never got started going up again.
