It looks like tar or liquid rubber! From the looks of it the engine is a diesel (going by the air intake in the background). Is there a way for the diesel fuel from the high pressure pump to make it into the coolant? I wouldn't think so. Maybe motor oil due to a head gasket failure? (It would have to be a lot of motor oil to get it to look like that!)
Quite. I've been fixing and looking after cars all my life and never seen anything like that. Usually if oil gets into the coolant, via a blown gasket usually, you get an emulsion that looks like frothy mayonnaise.
Maybe that's one of those Dodge products that has the water pump behind the timing chain. Google what happens when one of those goes bad. It's really effed up!
#1. I had a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, supercharged motor, it was a bad ass ride. I bought it brand new from the dealership. A couple of years down range, I had to top off the coolant. GM was running Dexcool. I grabbed Prestone which said it was compatible. Wrong.
Coolant turned to orange sludge, not as thick as the video, but enough to overheat the motor. Couldn’t tell you how many time the system was flushed and new 2 new water pumps installed. The problem never went away. Pontiac blamed Prestone. Prestone said they did nothing wrong and it was a systematic Pontiac problem. I ended up having to sell the car.
I'm thinkin' #1 has irrepairable harm done. At least he may be able to reuse the fuel delivery and ignition systems on the new or remanufactured engine and cooling sys. Yikes! Ohio Guy
Number 1 -- WTF!!!!!!!

DeleteA wee bit too much Bars Leak..
DeleteLiberal coolant.....
DeleteBlown head gasket, perhaps?

DeleteInternal block failure perhaps? That would let motor oil into the water/coolant loop.
DeleteSomeone put oil in their coolant system.
DeleteOil mixing in w the antifreeze. Bad head gasket, but probably a cracked block or cylinder head. Not good.
DeleteBlown head gasket. Coolant/lubricant emulsion.
DeleteBlown headgasket or possibly intercooler. Either way the whole thing is now full of stinky mayonnaise.

DeleteHoly Mother Fuck A Duck! Diesel, Head or Block, Chemicals etc. It really makes no difference.
That shit was viscous, and under pressure, ergo the engine was hot.
How did it even fucking run?!?!?!?!?
Oil. Diesel engine. Probably a head gasket.
DeleteBlown head gasket on a diesel. The radiator is history, no way to clean it all out.

ReplyDelete#1{ How is that even possible?
ReplyDeleteDiesel head gasket.
Delete#1- No kidding. WTF ?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a case of that black bar's stop leak was added!
ReplyDelete#7 for the win!
#3 - is that Phil in his younger years?
ReplyDelete#3 is why I drain the oil when the engine is cold.
DeleteWhat the hell is in #1?
ReplyDeleteOil. Probably a diesel, probably the head gasket. It will still run forever or until a piston burns out.
DeleteMight be time to flush that radiator, boss.
ReplyDelete#4 them painted white lines can be slippery DAMHIKIJKOK.
ReplyDeleteLook closely, he clipped the rear wheel of the guy in front. Been there, done that, saved the water bottle much to the amusement of my friends.

#5? Where is that?
ReplyDeleteCongrats, WC. You gave us something nobody really knows what is going on. I wouldn't even hazard a SWAG.
ReplyDelete#6 Isn't very bright.

DeleteI'd bet you're right about that.
Steve is probably right, or some dumbass put oil in the radiator instead of the oil inlet
ReplyDeleteNumber 1-
ReplyDeleteLittle dik pickup truck popped its oil cooler.
Head gaskets- really, you tards stick to utube shit.
