At least West Virginia's offering some decent bribes

West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice announced on Tuesday the state will be holding a new vaccine incentive lottery in a move to expand its COVID-19 vaccine rate.

Residents who enter the contest can win prizes such as custom trucks, weekend getaways at state parks, lifetime hunting and fishing licenses, or even custom hunting rifles and shotguns.

  1. Washington is offering a joint for a jab. If you don't smoke, they'll buy you a beer.

    2. Hey neighbor, it is the mostly same sentiment held up here above you on the ‘mountain’ (such as it is).
It is still better on our side of the ridge than in Loudon County and areas further east. I was over in Leesburg the other day getting many stinkeyes for running around maskless even though many of the requirements have been somewhat relaxed.

  3. What fuckin' good is a lifetime hunting or fishing license if the jab winds up killing you?

  4. It's not enough that they're taking tax money and paying Big Pharma for the so-called "free" vaccines, now they're taking even more tax money to bribe people into taking the vaccine. What state budget line item does that fall under? I thought all expenditures had to be approved, so who voted on this?

    1. They're using "Federal" stimulus $$$$. It's not really a state budget item. Just free money from uncle sugar
