NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — An innocent woman stopped at a red light in Nashville was shot and killed in what Metro Police say is "senseless gun violence."
The shooting at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday night at the intersection of Clarksville and Buena Vista Pikes claimed the life of Shirley Crawley, 55, and also wounded three teenagers, ages 18, 15 and 17, police said.
Good thing there is no description of the shooters, despite reports from multiple eyewitnesses, because a description would be unhelpful and might perpetuate hurtful stereotypes.
I've told before of leaving the place where I was raised and had lived almost all my life because it became a ghetto, Riverdale GA, on the Southside of Atlanta. I got myself and my children out at the right time. Within a couple of years of our leaving precisely this same thing happened to a young white woman a half-mile from my former house. She was driving to work one morning and POW! some grunion bastatd shot her in the head as he drove by her.
ATL is out of control, I think homicides are up 60% over last year, and last year was 40% higher than 2019. Oh and at least 200 police have retired and more have quit. Its a shooting gallery again.
but, but, but, someone keeps telling me that, "an armed society is a polite society", and here l was thinking it was a "society full of gutless cowards carrying "equalizers". boy, am l red faced.
"An armed society is a polite society" ably applies if 1. *Everyone* is armed, and 2. Regular folks who defend themselves against thugs aren't punished *beyond* what the thug would receive for the same action.
Try to be less condescending, and use logic would you? Cause your not as funny as you think, and anyone who said you were was lying to you. (Probably to keep from hurting your feelings, little anony mouse.)
P.s. the fact that you don't even have the conviction of character to post under your name tells me all I need to know about your mindset.
