It's true, there's a sucker born every minute

A retired FBI agent conned $800,000 out of a Granbury woman by convincing her she was on “secret probation,” according to an indictment unsealed Friday.

William Roy Stone, 62, is charged with wire fraud and conspiracy, false impersonation of a federal officer, and engaging in monetary transactions derived from unlawful activity.

  3. Hmm... So he retired in 2015, at age 55. Was it one of those 'retirements' where there's no office party send-off, just a cleaned-out desk, I wonder? If he scored $800 large and spent it, and then got investigated, and then got indicted, this didn't happen overnight. FBI skeletons, baby...Hush-Hush.

  6. I'm surprised he didn't claim it as confiscated money.

  7. And we all know he never transgressed during his years as an active agent. Never.
