Me and Lisa were in that area coming home from her parents down Hwy 52 right about then and all of a sudden there were cops flying in from both directions, and they just kept coming and coming. There were Macon County cops, Westmoreland cops, Tennessee State Troopers, Lafayette cops, Sumner County cops and probably a couple dogcatchers as well. I told Lisa at one point that I was spending more time on the fucking shoulder than I was driving. I'd see lights and I'd hit the shoulder, then pull back out, then back to the shoulder. I thought it was a major accident that we just missed.
Always a good feeling to know it’s not you when the cops are behind you but eventually pass by you.
