Nearly 200 Hospital Workers Will Be Fired in Houston If They Don’t Get Vaccinated

Nearly 200 Houston hospital workers will be fired after a two-week suspension if they don’t comply with a vaccine requirement.

Houston Methodist President and CEO Dr. Marc Boom sent an email in April to employees saying that they must receive at least the first dose of the vaccine by June 7, or they would face suspension and termination.

    1. It is a violation of federal law for any Emergency Use drug to be anything other than voluntary. Cohersion is also explicitly forbidden. The have a lawsuit even before they are terminated.

    2. Yeah, because everyone knows that the government always blocks the enforcement of government-recommended edicts.

  2. I would take the termination. I would also try to get everybody to go along with me.

  3. If the unvaccinated Houston hospital workers read Martin Armstrong they will have a case to not get jabbed. There are no fly warnings because of blood clots.

  4. As long as it's considered "experimental", don't the Nuremberg Accords preclude forcing unwilling civilians to get it?

    1. Working for you doesn't include risking my life for you, unless you have my signed agreement to such.
      Slavery is illegal, mmm'kay?

    2. Even the toughest boss CAN NOT mandate an experimental drug be injected into their employees.
The jab is not FDA approved, it only carries an emergency authorization.
Better have your wallet handy when the lawyers come knocking.

  6. "Workers can apply for an exemption for pregnancy or religious reasons. 285 employees were exempt for religious and medical reasons"

  7. You'd think these people have seen the fully packed ER's and would appreciate the need to stop this horrific PANDEMIC!!!!! in its tracks.

    1. "Seen the ERs packed"...

Did you know NYC in 2019 had set up tents in central park to handle all the influenza cases?

ERs so packed the hospital staffs were making dancing videos?

This virus hasn't been any worse than a bad flu season. If they counted flu deaths like they count covid deaths, there wouldn't be any difference.

    1. ^ And ... that is the goal. Yer basic wealth re-distribution. 'COVID' was designed to make money for SOME people, right from its beginning.

  9. I hate to admit that I don't know enough about case law to be able to address this on a strictly legal basis. Of course, I can say that emotionally I find it repulsive, and totally unfair, unacceptable, and against all notions of individual liberty. But then again, you could probably say the same thing about several other requirements that various employers have for their employees.
The thing is, nobody forces anyone to work at a particular place, so they likely would not have much in the way of a legal basis to fight the requirement. There is an employer in my area that doesn't allow it's employees to smoke or use tobacco products, even on their own time. The company gets a break on the price of their insurance for that, and I suppose it is fine, since they get away with it.

  11. I've always been the one to take my skills and tools for a walk when the management starts throwing their weight around. A couple of times I started a chain reaction that left the shop seriously understaffed. It usually went like this:
"Come in and have a seat. You may have heard that Fred tendered his noticed (or you undoubtedly saw fred loading his tools up) we're gonna need you to cancel your day off plans to pick up the slack till we can hire some more technicians."
"Nah, I ain't working my day off. I'll go clock out and load my tools"

    1. I have always done the same. Probably why I have spent most of my career working for an owner rather than a foreman.

    2. I do the same. But you have to be reasonably skilled and not replaceable by a "do you want fries with that" liberals arts major.

Work is recalling all the teleworkers. I kind of made it clear I was moving out of state and either my group gets to continue to telework or we'll work for a place that allows it. At this point my group is the only one green lighted for permanent telework.

  12. it's good to see that a hospital can let a large number of staff go. guess CVovid-19 really is over and we can go back to normal again.

  13. The hospital & other mandatory vac businesses will get away with mandating a vaccine. They mandate drug testing, not getting arrested, and a bunch of other things. Any of you know that technically you CAN be fired for your political beliefs? Look it up before you say b.s.
