Former President Barack Obama is warning fellow Democrats, “You lost a big audience the minute you say [‘defund the police’].” Sen. Bernie Sanders has rejected calls for “no more policing.” And White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, a few weeks ago, bizarrely claimed that it was not Democrats but Republicans who wanted to defund the police (because they opposed President Biden’s $1.9 trillion stimulus bill).

Critical Race Enthusiasts Should Learn the Lesson of ‘Defund the Police’
A year ago, “defund the police” activists were having quite a time. Outlets like CNN and Vox were publishing fawning profiles. Social media sensations like Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar were leading the parade. Cities like Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and Austin even approved partial defundings. It was a juggernaut.

I think you misread the gutless slob from New York. He's promised to hire a female police commissioner, not the best qualified individual. From what I've read, he's a clone of DeBlowhole.

ReplyDeleteAdams is a racists asshole. He was a thorn in the NYPD leadership when he was on the job. He started a radical organization while on the PD. When he retired he became a politician.
Not one PD Union endorsed him for Mayor in the primary. Nobody hasbthe balls to bring up his past.

1960s, we spectated/pitted at the Sacramento Speedway near Mather AFB.
1970s, we raced flattrack on brake-less two-strokes; grads raced 'The Sacramento Mile' at Cal Expo fairgrounds.
During the 1970s, I stuffed a Chevrolet V-8 into a 1953 Austin Healey, and raced the back parking-lot at Cal Expo with SCCA.

I believe Adams also is anti-gun, but hard to not expect that from any NY pol.
