In this issue BIG PICTURE viewers will receive a firsthand account of how American artillery is employed in Korea. The film shows how American artillerymen fire ten shells for every one the Communists launch at our troops. Included in the film is a study of the Army's new atomic cannon... the 280mm gun.

I used to watch this on Saturday mornings before The Lone Ranger, Roy Rodgers, and Fury (the story of a horse . . . and the boy who loved him).
ReplyDeleteThe Big Picture was usually narrated by Master Sergeant Stuart Queen.
I used to work with an old Marine who was wounded at Chosin. You could always get a rise out of him by mentioning the Army. He would cuss the Army up and down because he said the Army bugged out and left some artillery behind that the Commies used to shell his position, where he got his wound.
