Canada is one of the largest GHG emitters in the world, and has the second highest emission rate per capita of all G20 countries. As of 2019, the transportation sector was the second largest contributor to Canadian emissions.

Here we have your typical city boy that has no grip at all on reality.
I live in a rural area and I'd venture to say that a full 50 percent of the vehicles going down the road in front of my house are pickups and every damned one of them are hauling something either in a trailer or in the bed or both.

ReplyDeleteThis is what commies do try to control every aspect of your life
ReplyDeleteThis guy, assuming it's a guy, is part of the problem with this world, busy body little bitches trying to rule. I suggest that someone close to where this fool is finds him, beats his ass and take his car away. Make the bitch walk everywhere he goes, snow, rain, hot weather doesn't matter, walk bitch and save the planet. I'd volunteer to do it but I couldn't get into Canada anyway
ReplyDeleteFuck him
I'm in a bad today and shit like this isn't helping to make it better.
JD
busy body little bitches trying to rule.. walk bitch save the planet! Great string of words Brother.
DeleteI looked this dude up (cause that's how I roll). And as expected, his picture answers all questions that one may have had about him. Typical metrosexual, soyboy that thinks his clown beard makes him manly (perhaps it does in the groups he hangs out with) and he's also got a hint of terrorist in him. People like him carry absolutely no weight with me in the decisions I make in my life. And as for the trucks being more menacing and dangerous to pedestrians, that's only a problem if the pedestrian is in the road where and when they don't belong. This guy probably goes to the doctor for a hang nail.
Deletethe largest ghg emitter is the ocean. methane is the main ghg, accounts for 98% of the ghg emissions, which the oceans cough up continually. of the other 2% the tundra warming allows stored methane to escape accounting for 98% of that. man made carbon accounts for less than 2% of 2%, as volcanoes etc belch out the lifetime carbon of 100 million cars a day. the tundra warming btw is caused by the receding little ice age earth went thru, according to CREDIBLE SCIENTISTS. science btw proves that carbon was from 5 to 100 times more common in the earths history, which times correlate directly to the vastly denser flora and fauna, which deaths caused the methane. carbon it has been proven actually increases plant growth. imagine that.
ReplyDeleteThey'll get my pickup when the pry my cold dead hands off the wheel. I recently put mine in for a 90,000 mile checkup. The loaner car was a nice car, but my back ached enough after getting in and out of it that doubling up on the pain meds was the only way to get to sleep. I say we let those who wring their hands over the emissions (Canada may exempt them from some standards, but most trucks sold in the US meet California emissions requirements) drive Smart Cars to balance out those of us who drive pickups.
ReplyDeleteThe exemption he mentions is for mileage. Trucks, SUVs and full sized vand are classed as work vehiclesand have to get one fuel efficiency. While all cars are classed as personal vehicles and have feta better fuel efficiency.

Well, if *somebody* would build a fucking station wagon again, it wouldn't be such a problem would it?
ReplyDeleteHad a '71 Kingswood Estate, and an '85 Impala Station wagon.
By far the most reliable and useful vehicles I ever owned.
The Feds killed the old station wagons. Growing up, we had an Aspen station wagon. Thing was as long as a pick up. But with the CAFE standards, a big family passenger car could no longer compete on the market. So manufacturers moved to the SUV and upgraded pick ups. Since those two categories were based on light truck frames and could sport lower MPG standards.
DeleteMom had a Kingswood Estate with 400 sporting a 4 barrel carb. It would suck fuel but damn that was a beast, lol

I'm ashamed that this idiot is a Canadian, then i realize he lives in Toronto. I figure its how Americans feel when some SanFran idiot talks about things he has no idea about.
ReplyDeleteI own a truck and it has gasp... 4 doors and a short box. In an average year I put 70000 km on it with half or more of that off pavement. Also 2/3 of the time the back seat is folded up to allow me to store climate controlled items back there. Some gear does poorly if it freezes or is exposed to road dust.
When at work I'm comforted by the fact that I can pull the back seat gear and use it to lay out someone for transport to a hospital in the case of an emergency... a trip that is usually 100km or more for most of my work sites.
This is an article written by soneone who has likely never left the city or has any idea how people live rurally. He admits to moving every couple years, which suggests he rents. So he's never needed to haul building materials or yard supplies.
Most of his arguments come down to he's afraid of trucks.
Canada does have a high per capita co2 rate. We also are 35million people spread out over a huge area. Thats a good thing when you see how cities seem to twist minds of those living in them.
Not to switch from pointing out flaws in his logic to personal attacks but.... I looked at his other articles and I have to give him credit for branching out. Every other article he's published has been nothing but a series of hit pieces on Isreal or Doug Ford.
Exile1981
That Israel bashing fits nicely with my assessment of his picture that he looks like he harbors terrorist tendencies. Now it's all coming into focus. You can take the camel jockey out of the desert but you can't change his Neanderthal thinking.
DeleteMaybe he moves often because he's a busy body asshole that pisses off his neighbors
DeleteJD
We also are 35million people spread out over a huge area. And that huge area is almost totally sub-arctic, with "nine months of winter and three months of tough sledding". So it's either burn something to stay warm or freeze to death.
DeleteANd BTW, Doug Ford *deserves* to get bitch-slapped - on an hourly basis. What a freaking embarrassment...
Deletethe article writer was attacking him as evil for being conservative. Ford is just an idiot and deserves to be attacked on his record not sone idiots butt hurt.
DeleteExile1981
Mr. Castrati is a typical climate quack lunatic who can't understand why the world doesn't conform to his own warped vision of the world. It's none of his damned business why people buy what they want instead of what he wants them to put up with. POS.
ReplyDeletePick ups. I don't need or want one. Plus I can't afford one, but I'll defend the right of anyone who has or does want one. These anti-pick up fantasy assholes are the same ones who believe banning all guns will make murders go away.
ReplyDeleteMy 99 ford ranger only rolls out for truck work like firewood, manure, mulch, compost, scrapping, and transport of bulky items. Their claim is that concern over ghg is the morally superior position. But everything they want to do about "climate" is a giant waste of resources. The ruling classes in America are a bunch of frauds and theives.
ReplyDeleteUsing a 22 year old Ranger rather than sending it off to a junkyard is what actual conservation looks like. I know a lot of people that have an old Ranger around for chores and stuff.
DeleteMikey, I own 2 trucks right now - an F-150 and a Ranger. I drive the F-150 only when Lisa's in the truck with me because it's more comfortable on her back, but for light hauling and just running errands, I drive the Ranger at 23 mpg.
DeleteAfter the pickup trucks.....next “electric” airplane.....

Climate Crisis is just the latest rebranding of what used to be known as Global Warming. These fools have been making their doomsday predictions for over thirty years now and not once have they been right. How do we know that climate change alarmists are wrong? They're always wrong.
ReplyDeleteBoth Canada and the US are net carbon sinks. That is, their forests and croplands absorb more carbon dioxide than their industries and transport systems produce. This pussy needs to crawl back in mommy's basement with his blanky and his binky and STFU.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct. Canada contributes 2% to GHG, while it is a carbon sink for 20% of the world’s GHG. When do Canadians get a cheque for their contribution to removing GHG from the atmosphere?
DeleteSeems so many of these "We're doing this for the good of the Earth...oh, and you, too" types are generally both math and science deficient, at least from my many experiences with them.
ReplyDeleteMy pickup gets used for a number of purposes, including general transportation (not that I generally need to travel all that far these days), hauling stuff to/from/at my son's farm, hauling recyclables and trash to the dump, hauling my boat trailer, hauling lumber/flooring/plumbing/electrical stuff from the lumberyard/hardware store to my house (doing some renovations), and an ongoing long list of of things getting moved, towed, or hauled from Point A to Point B. Not going to be able to do most of that in one of the econoboxes these morons seem to love so much.
Hauling stuff is why people buy trucks in the 1st place.
ReplyDeleteSaw one comment thread elsewhere - the Karens were all in a tizzy about pickups and how unnecessary they were. Then a rancher chimed in and listed ALL the things he used his pickup for. After a pause, there were a few comments added that could be summed up as "I didn't know that".
ReplyDeleteJust like the supposed people going door to door vax offers. I think psyop actors mostly as in more bread and circuses to piss off the not quite aware normies.
ReplyDeleteA) No global warmering measured to date
ReplyDelete2. No linkage between human activity and the non-0existant warming.
Thirdly, The lies mentioned above are part of the communist / socialist/ central state cabal.
d. Pickups are essential, and so are big honkin SUVs and Vans.
5) Soyboy has no clue, he's just pumping propaganda and getting paid for it.
"Davide". Edgy.
ReplyDeleteDavide Mastracci is an associate editor and investigative reporter at The Islamic Monthly.
Is he going to tell his bedfellows to turn in their Toyota Hiluxes?
My response to those is same as Halloween, "What are you supposed to be?"
ReplyDeleteI just got my new custom ordered 4WD Toyota Pick Up Truck and it's 84 degrees in Texas on a late July afternoon. If this is "climate change" I'll take it. According to that everyone should go get a new pickup. I've seen it as high as 115 in July around here. If they really want to ignite either CW2 or Texas secession banning pickups would be a fast way to do it.
ReplyDeleteI have not owned a car since the gas crisis of the mid-seventies. I've no use for one. I've always got something to haul. People who don't own pickups were always my best friend when they decided to move or wanted something hauled. I put a stop to that years ago. Throw a camp and a mattress in the back and you just saved big bucks on motel rooms. Piss on sleeping on the ground in a bag on a fishing trip. So many uses for a pickup. About zero for a car other than getting you from one place to another.
ReplyDeleteI've owned 1 car, a 1968 Plymouth Fury, and that was right after I got out of the army. Since then, I've driven nothing but trucks. My ex and my current wife had cars (Lisa sold hers when she lost her vision), but I've always had a truck.
DeleteHe should be taken to somewhere like Northern Alberta and put in a little hut with loads of food, an electric oven and grill, a box of matches, big pile of firewood, with some explosive mixed in and a big window, through which he can watch the big windmill and the ginormous solar panel keeping him warm and cooking his food.
ReplyDeleteMaybe about November time.
With a webcam monitoring him.
That would be a media ratings winner.
Well , Canada was never known for an exes of testosterone fucking bunch of faggots ! Betcha the fucking lame cannuck has a friend with a truck who gets a call every moving day .
