Oh, the carnage with Tennessee's permitless carry!!!

It's been 2 days now since Tennessee's permitless carry went into effect.

Meanwhile, here in Macon County.....

Number of firearms I saw carried openly 2 days before it became law: Three.
Number of firearms I've seen carried openly since it became law: Zero.

Incidents of brandishing a firearm 2 days before it became law: Zero.
Since it became law: Zero.

People shot in Macon County 2 days before it became law: Zero.
Since it became law: Zero.

Road rage incidents involving a firearm 2 days before it became law: Zero.
Since it became law: Zero.

Shootouts in the Walmart 2 days before it became law: Zero
Since it became law: Zero.

So, either the fucking liberals are wrong about the causes of gun violence or we're half-stepping here in Macon County, I don't know which.

  3. Send your citizens on an all expense paid hunting trip to San Jose Ca. They need some adult supervision and life lessons.

    1. Oh, no. The hysteria happens. Just not by the gun owners.

  6. Part of the standard Kabuki Theatre: Law is passed loosening restrictions on the Second Amendment. Law Enforcement Organizations, Mothers Demanding Action, et al begin caterwauling about "carnage, blood in the streets, dogs and cats living together" etc. because of the new law.

Result: no change, or an actual reduction in "gun violence"; silence from the LEO organizations and the Demanding Mothers.

    Lather, rinse repeat.

    Can't it be both?

  8. Thug on thug crime will probably remain the same. Muggings, and car jacking tends to go down when there is a heightened probability of getting ventilated. Criminals want easy targets. Why is this so hard to understand?

    1. Half the population are below average in IQ. Among the others, certain people have made a career out of not understanding...

  9. Funny, the same thing is happening in Iowa after our permitless carry law went into effect. No OK Corral style shootouts, no blood on the streets, nobody "hunting black men".
