Police say off-duty and out of his jurisdiction didn't stop former Decherd police officer, Mathew Ward, from pulling a gun on a driver and his pregnant wife.
What started off as apparent speeding on the interstate, ultimately ended with a feud between the driver and Ward.
Reporter: “After seeing the video and being in the meeting on Monday evening, as the Mayor, does this make you want to work closer with the police department to take action?”

Gillespie says it’s not him but City Administrator Rex Clark who handles oversight when it comes to the departments.
You're the fucking Mayor, act like it. If Rex Clark is overseeing the Police Department, then you're superfluous.
I dunno what goes on there but most mayor's appoint their chief of police and can shitcan him if he chooses. Ok so I'm not calling the mayor a liar but I do believe he's full of shit.
