Why didn't she say something while it was happening?

A teenage girl was repeatedly groped by a 76-year-old man seated behind her on a plane traveling Friday night to Montana, according to FBI agents who arrested the septuagenarian on multiple felony charges.

 *****

She's on an airplane surrounded by people, with her family, and she waits until they land and checked into their rooms before she says anything?
I'm not saying it didn't happen, I'm just wondering why she didn't put a stop to it then?

  1. I too do not even downplay the incident but when someone assaults' you and the first thing that comes to mind is to take pictures while allowing the assault to occur, something is very wrong. I hope the bastard serves ever minute of the time he receives, if he receives any time at all.

  2. She’s 15. Contrary to popular belief, not all 15 year-olds know what to do in that situation. Perhaps she was too scared to say anything. Maybe having never encountered this type behavior she didn’t know what to do but she got video proof so this asshole cannot deny it and now faces serious jail time so good for her.

    1. I agree. Being the father of two girls now in their 20's, I could see a young lady being uncertain of what to do in a situation like this especially with all the BS that is going on in the skies these days (maybe she feared the plane would be diverted and land somewhere else ruining people's trips). Who knows what goes on in the heads of young girls and her taking pictures is just a function of her generation. This guy needs to be put UNDER the jail, not in it.

  3. Because she's a teenager without a lot of self-confidence on how to behave. This is why we have special laws to protect minors from adults.

    1. That's on her parents then. I was taught by my folks from a very early age that if anybody did anything I was uncomfortable with, to tell them.

    2. I agree that the parents should have instructed her to get their attention sooner ... but they may have.

I'm convinced that the oldest daughter would not have gotten my attention, but would have beaten the hell out of the guy herself. The after math may have been interesting. Knowing her, she would cover it up if she could.

The younger one would have gotten my attention.

  4. If he had just sniffed her hair he wouldn't be in this mess.

  5. It was when she checked in the room that she finally took her face out of her phone.

  7. Hormones sometimes override judgment at that age. I have a teenager of my own. Plus teenagers are ripe for acceptance of any kind. Fuck the BS airlines for not letting them sit closer together with out paying a premium.

  9. She had no idea what kind of creature was behind her. For all she knew, making it known on the flight might have resulted in a far worse outcome.
There is also the story of the woman who was raped late one night. When asked why she didn't jump out of bed and run away, she said she thought it was her husband.
When did you discover it wasn't your husband?
When he wanted to go again.
