DOJ Backs ATF’s Hunter Biden Privacy Excuse in FOIA Appeal

U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)-“You appealed on behalf of your client, David Codrea, from the action of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) on your client’s Freedom of Information Act request to certain records concerning Hunter Biden,” a Wednesday letter to attorney Stephen Stamboulieh from Administrative Appeals Staff Chief Matthew Hurd observes. “I note that your appeal concerns ATF’s refusal to confirm or deny the existence of records responsive to your client’s request.”

  2. ATF, FBI, SS (oops, I should have written that out as Secret Service) will choose only to enforce the laws that benefit them and their handlers. The First Crack Head won't be touched less his senile old daddy wrecks somebody's government career. File a FOIA request for anybody else's 4473 and they will produce it.

    1. You know what this means, doncha? It means that America is weapons free.

My country is not founded upon politicians and their servants. We need not their permission in any facet of our lives. Government has continually made themselves less relevant. So live it up. Act free.

  5. One cannot help but wonder had it been one of Donald Trump's sons, who were buying a rifle to take hunting in Africa, but who messed up their 4473, if the same concern for their privacy would have been given any consideration at all.
Rhetorical question, of course. They hid any mention of Hunter Biden before the election, no make that paper shuffling, done in November of 2020. An election implies that there was some question of who was going to win, going into the thing. There was actually no real question of the outcome of this last presidential election, no matter the votes. The only real question was, how much manipulation would it take to toss the win to the Democrat candidate. I mean, the other possible issue might have been, just how could they justify their candidate being Joe Biden, when he never bothered to campaign, against such a huge crowd of better candidates, who beat the streets, with a more defined message that appealed to the base. But they could not be shown to gather any votes from the right, so that stealing those votes would look possible.
I still see the mainstream media fighting the narrative that the election was fair and free, and those who say otherwise must be of low intellect. At this point, for them to still feel that they must continue to do that tells me that they know that it was phony, and so they will have to attempt to justify Biden's "victory" as being legit, all the while knowing that like the rest of us it was a sham. You can lie to me as long as you like, just don't think that I will someday start to believe it, if you say it louder or more often. Like so many patriots, I won't play your game.

  6. Our rulers are above the law, the 1st thing Xo Bai Dan signed was blanket pardons for all the family bag men ferrying the foreign kickbacks to him. 10% for the big guy. Hunter is above the law also. The GOP will make some kabuki theater to have us believe otherwise. Another show investigation not leading to even so much as a show trial.

There's no reason for anyone else to much respect the law either. Do what you can get away with if you can.

  7. I can only quote Ayn Rand -

“When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing; when you see that money is flowing to those who deal not in goods, but in favors; when you see that men get rich more easily by graft than by work, and your laws no longer protect you against them, but protect them against you. . . you may know that your society is doomed.”
