Employees fired for refusing vaccinations may not be eligible for unemployment

Some companies are requiring employees to get their vaccination or face termination, but an employee fired for refusing may not be eligible for unemployment benefits.

According to Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development Spokesperson Chris Cannon, to be eligible for the Tennessee unemployment compensation program, employees cannot be at fault for their termination.

  1. If you're vaccinated, you can still get it (less severe) and pass it along, so what are they trying to accomplish ?

    The ignorance is astounding.

    1. It'll kill you eventually.

      That's the goal.

  3. how do they figure (well obviously they just made it up cuz their elite and credentialed and in charge). The employer changed the terms of employment. You choose not to accept those terms. That's on the employer not you.

I"m sure that those dissatisfied employees that are getting kicked to the curb would never ever do anything bad on their way out the door. that would be awful.

I'm guessing that's going to get taken to court. Does literally any refusal to obey the commands of 'the man'-- regardless of legality or morality or practicality constitute cause for firing without eligibility for UI, or is there a border?

  5. The legal issues are slippery here.
There is a phrase or two you need to be aware of:

Emergency Use Authorization - may only be issued when NO KNOWN ALTERNATIVES EXIST (why do you think even talking about Ivm and Hcq were banned after decades of safe use for other issues?)

Full FDA APPROVAL = Your employer CAN fire you without repercussion, because its safe, its approved by the FDA, and you must be a nutjob for not agreeing with the FDA.

    See where its going yet?
Make this your line in the sand.

    1. And EUA and consent.

If I'm threatened with loss of my job, that duress renders any "consent", well, let's call it controversial.

Probably not a smart tactical decision.

  7. Refuse to accept the vaccination on the grounds that it is against your religious beliefs. Then if they fire you, sue.

  8. I believe if you claim religious reasons for refusing, you can sue if they terminate you, before the jab terminates you.

  10. Unemployment office workers have to come out of that office and go home eventually.

Figure the rest out for yourself.
