Hardin’s Deadly Tools

We’ve long held a fascination for the gunmen of the Wild West, and firearms enthusiasts have been especially interested in the hardware used by them.

Unlike most Wild West gunmen, who left behind scarce detailed accounts of the guns they had used during their tumultuous careers, John Wesley Hardin is known to have owned or used several solidly documented guns.

  1. There’s a restaurant in town that’s referred to as “The old place by the graveyard “. Best Tex/Mex in El Paso, and that’s saying something! The graveyard is where Hardin is buried. The town has changed a lot in the 45 years since I first visited, but I still prefer it to any other big city on earth. Eod1sg Ret

  2. Best steakhouse I’ve ever eaten at is in Fabens Texas just outside of El Paso. Take exit 49 off I-10 and just drive north into the desert. About 4 or 5 miles up on the right. Cattleman’s Steakhouse. You can’t miss it, there’s nothing else around for miles. Eod1sg Ret
