NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – The aftermath of Hurricane Ida is expected to cause gas price fluctuations, according to AAA officials.

Currently, the average gas price in Tennessee is $2.85 ahead of the Labor Day weekend and, according to AAA officials, has held steady over the last week. The average gas price is four cents less than one month ago and 86 cents more than one year ago.

I saw this shit coming when they announced they were shutting down refineries due to the hurricane and topped off both trucks and filled the 2 empty gas cans out in the shed.
I wasn't worried about the prices coming up, but I was preparing for a gas shortage. It's happened here before. We're off the beaten path here (heh) and it seems like the stations in bigger towns and close to a freeway get their tanks filled before we do.
