State leaders introduced a variety of creative incentives to promote the coronavirus vaccine, including material goods, cash, travel perks, free food, drinks, and even weed— but some experts are unsure that this approach works.
If the case for getting vaccinated was sound, non of this crap would be necessary. We have a potentially fatal disease. If there was a vaccine that actually prevented people from getting it and would effectively stop the spread of the disease dead in its tracks, everyone apart from the usual idiots would be signing up. The problem is that the vaccine is only partly effective and has unknown risks. The disease in question is not particularly contagious and is mostly only dangerous to people who are either very old or already ill. Why do the utter fools in government think that they know better than people who can think these things through for themselves?
free weed sign me up. ill send some of my buddies over. they don't care- i may have to drive them over as they are to screwed up already to drive
ReplyDeleteCome to Virginia, I'll give you some weed. We can do that now.

ReplyDelete"Why do the utter fools in government think that they know better than people who can think these things through for themselves?"
DeleteBecause they are in government.
I think it was Portland that did that. Maybe it was just a Portland weed store, but it was in the news a month or so ago.
