House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the other top House Democratic leaders urged President Joe Biden’s administration to extend the eviction moratorium until Oct. 18, 2021 and said doing so is a “moral imperative,” according to the joint statement released Sunday. The moratorium — first introduced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) last year to prevent landlords from evicting low-income tenants during the pandemic — expired over the weekend after Congress failed to pass legislation extending it.
Pelosi's concerned about evictions? Only because there's millions of Democrat voters who will soon be sleeping under an highway overpass and rethinking their loyalty to the party.
ReplyDeleteThat would probably be an impeachable offense, huh wonder why they would want to do that.
DeleteIs there such a thing as "Contempt of SCOTUS"?
DeleteSo many restaurants around here closed or close early because they cannot get help. Jims BBq a great place that hasn't been open in weeks due to staff shortage. We need to stop this free shit. People need to get off their dead asses and get back to work.
ReplyDeleteThey only worry about what the supreme court rules when it favors their agenda, otherwise they just pretend it doesn't pertain to them.

There are jobs out there. How many deadbeats spent the rent money on dope, etc? The landlord isn't getting any moratorium on taxes, insurance or upkeep.
ReplyDeleteI would say defying a Supreme Court order would be an impeachable offense.

(1) The Democrats said science demands the extension. That's what the statement said. Science demands.
ReplyDelete(2) To Pelosi and her kind, "The branches of government are what I say they are."
Science involves demanding serious proof of claims.
DeleteTrusting the science is for flat earth people.
How about Pelosi getting off her dead ass and doing her job?
ReplyDeleteShe is doing her job.
DeleteThe people keeping her in action are delighted.
She'll have her face on the digital currency.
Not worth a Pelosi...ha hah hah.
Here in Montana we have fast food jobs going begging at $12.00-$15.00 per hour. They can eat shit on the eviction extension.
ReplyDeleteHere in Wisconsin , in my area you cant drive through any industrial park and NOT see help wanted signs in every other shop . Shit I was thinking about going into help wanted sign manufacturing everyone wants one or two
ReplyDeleteI always wondered how the CDC has the authority to enforce this "moratorium" anyway. THey aren't a ;w making body. Had Congress done it, that would be different....it would be a law. The CDC has no authority in something like this.
ReplyDeleteHow many divisions has the Supreme Court?
