  1. I've been telling people get ready, there is a Rock and Roll massacre that's going to roll out over the next 10 years. In other news Barbara Eden just turned 90. Some will remember Larry Storch from F Troop who is among the living at age 98! Willie Nelson is right now out on the road again at age 88. Of course Willie has never experienced stress in his whole life so he'll probably live forever!

  2. I saw him in his last concert in Miami. I have seen the Rolling Stones about 10 times over the last 40 years. When everything was chaos around him Charlie was there as calm as he could be. May the perpetual light shine upon him. Rest in Peace Charlie. :(

  4. Nice writeup at Fox News: https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/charlie-watts-rolling-stones-dead-80
As I told Ken in my email, He was the one guy on that band for whom I had respect.

Give a listen to “Paint It Black” to hear a great drummer.

  5. Damn, that's sad news. Well, we can now put a number to the date the 'Stones died - 2021, the day Charlie Watts died - because without Charlie Watts there is no Rolling Stones. It was hard-enough replacing Bill Wyman, but Charlie? No way. Thanks for the memories, guys, and long live the greatest rock and roll band in the world! In their prime, there was no one better.

  6. No cause of death? It is a lot like the obits in my local newspaper when they will say, John Doe died unexpectedly at the age of 88. Um, not to be a downer, but once you hit 80, you can expect it any day. No matter how healthy you are, bodies wear out, hearts beat millions of times, and hopefully, you have accomplished everything that you wanted to. If not, stop waiting and get busy. And I agree, without Charlie Watts, the Rolling Stones have lost their soul. I have no great love of them, I always thought they were over rated, since the early 1980's. Now, they are just over.

    2. It's been a hell of a ride. Aint got no bucket list. I always wanted to know what was on the other side of the mountain so I went and looked. Lived a lot of places, done a lot of things. So many I met in Nursing Homes said, "I wish I had." I never forgot that so I can say, "I did." It's only rock and roll mon.

    FFS, sometimes that's reason enough.

  8. Thanks for putting this on here for those of us that like the Stones. Appreciate it Kenny. I was thirteen when Come On was released. Fifteen when Satisfaction arrived. Selfish to say but his passing makes me feel so old. Aint many years left I reckon. RIP Charlie.
