  1. I don’t know who this fellow is, but now it seems I probably should.

    1. John Cena. He’s a marquee-level professional wrestler who started acting in films not long ago and in The Suicide Squad reboot. By all accounts, a pretty stand-up guy.

    2. I was thinking the same thing....Whoever he is, he has class. Obviously a Hero to the kid, and he did what Heroes should do.

    3. Yes, many things may be "scripted" to elicit sympathy or respect. Then take a look at the entire person. I think you may want to reconsider the lavish praise given here.

Character DOES matter. Groveling shamelessly to communist thugs is not my vison of character nor would I tolerate my child being abused & exploited as a PR opportunity for this traitor.

John Cena Apologizes to China for Calling Taiwan a Country

  4. I thought he was ok till recently during an interview for a recent movie he said something about Taiwan that the commie Chinese didn't like so he got on his knees and basically tickled the commie's nuts while apologizing in Chinese so they wouldn't cancel his movie. Totally lost credibility with me at that point, but to each their own.

  5. Give it a rest, guys. Cena's apology notwithstanding , the guy is really good with his fans and spends a lot of time and effort on charity work. From what I read, the behaviour shown in the clip is typical for him.

  6. I hate what he did and said to the Chinese- really put a sour note on an otherwise very good man.
He has been EXTREMELY active in the Make a Wish program for years to the point the board room is named after him.
He’s done a lot of good things for kids. Hopefully the China thing was just a bad spot in his otherwise stellar character.

  7. He is a stand up guy in a lot of aspects but I wish he would have kept political words out of his mouth. He caved to the pressure and did not stand up that time for the country that has made him wealthy, and for that he will suffer some karma.

  8. The United States kisses China's ass about Taiwan, so when John Cena does it, everyone goes ape shit? I guess I don't get it. Even if Cena did it just to allow his movies to play there, it is not completely about him, but also about the many others who have money riding on the success of the film, including those who stand to gain financially from it's success, not just the big money people, but also those who can get a job, if another movie is greenlighted based upon the success of this one.
I don't go to the cinemas to watch movies now, but I know that it is not just the liberals who make money on the garbage put out, but also carpenters, hair dressers, caterers, electricians, computer people, etc. The working class people deserve to make a living just like the others who don't make that living on other projects. So good for Cena, even if he has more than one reason for helping kids like this. In the end, this kid, and others, are given a better life, and that is the most important thing.
