Treat all weapons as if they are loaded unless you personally check to see otherwise. Every time. Keep your boogerhook off of the bang bit unless you actually want to shoot. Know your target, and what is behind it. Don't point a weapon at a person unless you are will I ng to, at that point in time, kill them, if necessary. If the threat or attack is bad enough to point a gun at someone, it should be bad enough to start shooting immediately, and continue shooting the threat is stopped. "Playing" with a loaded gun. Dammit. John in Indy
That is why my kids and now my grand kids started training on shooting and gun safety at the age of 5 . Yes , with a sweet little Co2 bb gun at age 5 and then stepping up to a .22 pistol . They are now 13 and 15 and both good and safe with firearms .
Amazing. No Dad in the house? Why momma let him have a pistol? Very sad and very tragic. At least the gene pool ended. Very blue collar part of Oklahoma City.
Per the article - “ Witnesses believe that the male was sitting in the living room handling a firearm when it went off. The bullet traveled through a wall and hit his mother in the head.”
Poor reporting (unless it was a P320) as pistols don’t go off without manipulation of the trigger.
I had a manager notice my bulge and she did not ask me to leave....

ReplyDeleteGun control is keeping your fingers away from the trigger unless you plan on shooting it

Maybe they should consider bringing back gun safety programs in schools.

ReplyDeleteWhat a terrible thing to happen to this family. Gun safety rules.
