It makes sense if you think about it. Convicted felons can NOT legally own a firearm and Archery takes a lot of practice the Crossbow is the best of both worlds. You use rifle or handgun sights on a relatively silent weapon with a decent range of attack. That you can buy legally if you are a felon.
I fired one for the first time a couple months ago and I'll tell you it's a big upgrade in velocity from a compound bow - about double. Very impressive. The high end ones put a bolt out at around half the velocity of .45 ACP.
nice and quiet. and you can still buy one anywhere so far. just make sure they stop moving.

ReplyDeleteWith the right arrowhead a shaft from any kind of bow can cause you to bleed out pretty damn fast.
