I was actually happy to see #2 wasn't shit on - again - at least in that one comment. Kids who never hear a positive thing about themselves as they are growing up turn out to have some pretty hard to erase scars. I'm 65 now but I still cannot forget things like the time in second grade when my mother threatened to "chop me up and flush me down the toilet". Or pressing a hot match head to my arm - still second grade - and telling me I was going to hell and hell was hot like the match head.
It drives me crazy to see a parent mistreating their child in public because I know if they are willing to do that what they are capable of at home.
