California: Registration for “Assault Weapons” to Re-Open

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- The California Department of Justice has announced that they will reopen the registration period of “bullet button assault weapons” from January 13, 2022, until April 12, 2022, due to a federal court order. This time period is reserved for gun owners who had wished to comply with the original registration period that ended in 2018 but were unable to do so due to technical difficulties.

  1. Another chance to register for future confiscation? Hell no!

    DO NOT COMPLY... EVER!

  4. CA compliance with the original AWB here in 1989: <2%.

TPTB have hopes that this time, it might climb as high as 3%.

    1. So basically you're saying that 97% of AR owners will own safe queens that they're too afraid to take out and shoot.
      Yup, that'll show 'em.
And don't hand me that shit about the population rising up to overthrow their oppressive government because we both know that if that was going to happen, it already would have.

    2. Nope.
I'm saying that TPTB have no wild idea where and how many AR-15s they're dealing with, and no clue who has one, or who doesn't.
      And never will.

As far as "take out and shoot" that only applies if someone never travels, doesn't it?
Last I looked, NV and AZ have some world-class firearms training sites.
And no one's instituted cavity searches and tossing every vehicle that crosses the state line at the state borders, despite all the Sacramentards' hyperventilating. Yet.

Call when anyone in a "free" state rises up.
      That's a non-issue.
When it becomes an issue anywhere, any such laws kind of go away all on their own, don't they...?

Like the old Soviet joke, They pretend to pass laws, and we pretend to obey them.

But if anyone in the "free states" would like to do something about the 8M Democrap voters that have wandered over the border with Mexico since just 2000, like they haven't done once in the last 50 years, we'd take it as a kindness hereabouts.

I've lived in California since before it reverted back to Mexico, and I kind of miss it when it was part of America.

  6. You’re right, Kenny. We are doing exactly what we’ve done for the past hundred years. Keep your head down and your mouth shut and just keep going along to get along. Traitors writing books about their treason. No problem. In your face election fraud. No problem. And what the hell has happened to white peoples in TV commercials. But don’t worry, Texas or Trump or DeSantas or somebody will come right along to save us. And in the mean time, I’m going to talk big shit on the internet. My aching ass. Eod1sg Ret

    1. The only refrain the American Right knows: "That's not who we are. We can't sink to their level. We have jobs and families. We obey the law. This is not the hill to die on."

  8. Is this going to be like when they didn't register SKSes, and then changed their mind and registered SKSes, and then decided the registrations were too late and confiscated them?
