Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy…on a societal scale?

If you’ve ever heard of the psychological disorder Munchausen Syndrome, you have probably also heard of a related disorder called Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, defined as

  1. I've been saying this about him for YEARS, and nobody will listen. He never worked as a doctor, just went straight from med school to sucking the government teat. But he comes across as all folksy and people lap it up. People have no memory; it's like we live in an eternal 'now.' Its beyond frustrating. Thank you for this.

  3. This happens more than one thinks. Believe me. Keeping wounds infected, administering urine or whatever to an IV drip and it goes on and on. The son of a bitch gets the, Oh poor you, how do you go on and alla that horseshit. Ya wanna do Munchausen and fuck yourself up, have at it. But when it's by proxy ya ought to be nailed to a wall and left to die.

  4. Also, a month or so ago in a post in here a young ID girl was smothered with a pillow in a hospital. I said Munchausen by Proxy. Someone else said, no the mother got sick of having an ID kid and just killed her. I didn't say it but I did not agree. Smothering within an inch of life to set off bells and bring the Nurses running is part of it. Then the bastard says I was holding her hand and she just started gasping. Again, oh you poor thing. In this case she smothered too long. Had she wanted to kill her she'd a done it at home. Oh, ya don't say MR mentally retarded anymore. It's ID intellectual disability. I retired from this field.
