Sticks and Stones.....

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday released body camera video of a carjacking suspect who was shot after attempting to hit a deputy with a rock.

Investigators say the wild series of events started Sept. 6 when the suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Darren Napolean Stone, assaulted his 72-year-old grandmother, fracturing her arm. Stone then stole her car and crashed it on Maple Glen Road, the sheriff’s office said.

  1. The guy showed great creativity in turning a "bad" day into a really awful day. Granny was easy, probably old and tired, the deputy was alert and ready for trouble. Darren fought the Law and the Law Won. No "mag dump" however.

  2. Love how the talking heads always warn of the "disturbing" video content. In light of events of the past few years, I'm way past disturbed. Actually, I've learned to "circle back" to just plain ol' disgruntled. Ohio Guy

  3. 'Well know to law enforcement'. That says it all. He either needs to be put in prison or in a mental institution.

    1. There was a case (in the last couple of years?) where a cop was beaned by a rock thrower who then took the policeman's weapon and killed him.

  6. Any chance the deputy was named Waterloo?

  8. Disturbing? Not at all, better shooting and a mag dump it would have been glorious
