STARKE, Fla. — The Starke Police Department and Department of Children and Families are investigating Bradford Preschool & Daycare due to a video shared online.
In that video, you can hear an adult say, “I’ll put my hand right around your neck and choke slam you” outside in the center’s playground.
When I was in elementary school in the 80s the new principal wanted to strap me (he was a twat and several students...not even me...made his life hell, but that's another story) and when he phoned my dad to talk about it he got a detailed explicit death threat in response.
I sometimes wonder if he knew how serious that threat was. I didn't fully understand it myself until I saw my dad's bipolar nature on display some years later.
I'll never forget coming home that day and having my mom ask 10 year old me: "Your dad threatened to kill the principal today. What happened?"
Fuck. My dad went to the principals and vice principals of all my schools and gave them written permission to beat my ass if I even looked wrong, let alone smart-mouth a teacher.
Pretty much the same for me. First day of 7th grade, my dad told the principal (who he graduated under) to "whip his ass if he gets out of line, and call me and I will do it again when he gets home".

DeleteThat was my Dad’s rule: whatever you get at school, you’ll get double at home. Then, he went to work for my high school, so he got to whoop me twice.
