I am a little confused by the article though - did the guys pull up in the car and start shooting while SWAT already had the house surrounded, or what? Was it the same home or different one?

And I thought Tennessee's Mutual Combat laws were cool
CHICAGO — No charges will be filed in connection to a SWAT standoff in the city’s North Austin neighborhood Friday, marking the second instance within a week where the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office has not pursued charges in a case connected to a death.

Based on that article, if some "disgruntled resident" shoots at the state attorney and her security detail shoots back it's mutual combat and would be OK?

Mutual combat? I guess that does apply in a war zone like Chicago. It also makes it easy for the police.

This has been big news in the Chicago area,though I live in NW Indiana, I'm still considered to live in the Greater Chicagoland area and we get their local news. The States Attorney there is the same as pretty much all the other S/A's in the large metropolitan Dem controlled areas. They act as if they are Public Defenders instead of prosecutors. And the sad part is that it gets worse by the day. Their once beautiful Mag Mile,Gold Coast and River North areas are over run with undesirables and the police are powerless to do a thing about it. Car jackings and mass assault shop lifting sprees at high end stores are now the norm
ReplyDeleteCook County states atty is Kim Fox, the notorious, or is that infamous, prosecutor who dropped the charges against Juicy Smallet for lying about his attempted lynching. She only prosecutes white people. Black on black crime is not a crime according to her.

First of all Journalism is dead. Apart from being almost exclusively propaganda it's purveyors failed fundamental English classes. They can't spell, have no idea what grammar is and have seldom heard of punctuation. So the stories they spew are basically unintelligible. As for the "mutual combat" crap....this is just the flaming liberal DA in Chi-Raq, a Kim Foxx, refusing to allow the system to hold her fellow ground apes accountable under the law.
