    1. Yeah, one reason we call them third world shitholes. I always miss American plumbing when I'm gone.

    3. Does it really surprise you that the world is full of fucking idiots that pay no attention to anything that doesn't provide them with instant gratification?

    4. I think it's frickin' brilliant. If God meant for women to have hair that color then he wouldn't have let this guy switch 'em around!

  5. #2 - Maybe my eyes are deceiving me, but that bullet looks like it still has the casing attached.

  6. #1 is a scene right out of my childhood. We had a tire swing that went over an embankment, and if you were facing the wrong way on the backswing the tree was all too happy to catch you. Good times!

    1. Back in my day, we swung on vines growing up trees at the top of a ravine. Some were well tethered, others...not so much. Ohio Guy

  9. #2 At the end of a practical pistol class taught by a former IDF instructor, we had some time left before the range closed so we played a similar card game with the pistols at 3 paces. My first shot cut the card edgewise ... clean through. We did it twice more, each time taking a step further away. So, roughly 9, 12, and 15 ft. The one who cut three cards with the least amount of shots won bragging rights. It took me seven shots to cut the three cards. The instructor beat me by 1. I still have that first card though. I used a Colt 1911 Series 70 in .45 ACP.

  10. I love cicadas! I put a mature nymph on a window screen and watched it emerge. Took a long time for the wings to get ready. It was big with a wide, green velvet head and beautiful iridescent wings.

  11. #2 We used to shoot for fun on Thanksgiving. Light matches with a 22, we used to split bullets on an axe and cut cards with the black powder rifle. Loads of fun on a cold day.

#8 And we did it just a few miles north of Slaton, TX of of FM 1729..... Any one else ever tromp cotton? Great memories....

    1. Nope, never did that but you jogged a memory. We used to put stick matches in the end of an empty Beebe gun and shoot em against anything like concrete. At night looked like fireflies.
