I read the associated web page which does debunk the photo as being fake. The height of the bridge over the water is 30 meters and the width between the piers 120 meters. This would make the plane the size of a B70 Valkyrie or of a similar size.
Who the fuck cares if it is fake? It is a cool photo. I've flown a helicopter under the Huey P Long Bridge. Big fucking deal. Enjoy that there are some real daring pilots not photographed doing amazing feats. And I don't claim to be one.
Vodka. Not Beer.
ReplyDeleteIs Mig, not Saber,
When mens was mens and sheeps were pregnant.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a MiG. Vodka was involved.
ReplyDeleteMig-21
ReplyDeleteMore likely a MIG 15 or MIG 19. Early 50s Soviet aircraft.
DeleteLooks more like a MiG-15, Korean War vintage.
DeleteMiG-15 or MiG-17. High-mounted horizontal tail surfaces.

There are pictures out there of Chuck Yeager flying his F80 Shooting Star under a Charleston bridge. Without approval.

Water doesn't react that way to the passing of an airplane.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a MiG-15 to me. Wonder where this was photographed.
