United Airlines is set to terminate 593 of its employees who have chosen to not comply with the company’s vaccine mandate, it confirmed to The Epoch Times on Sept. 29.
Well, I resigned today because I don’t want to be 8 thousand miles from home when they make the shot mandatory to fly. As a government contractor, we will be required to be vaccinated by December 1 st anyway. This was a hard decision to make and I’m not to sure where I go from here. I could have lied about it with a fake card, but that may be a felony and as a member of the gun culture, I couldn’t live with that. I’m not very happy right now. Eod1sg Ret
Not really. Uni-Tard has gone full woke with a number of issues and wants to be able to claim that they are the first 100% sheep-vaxxed airline. Of course the customers are required to be vaxxed nor are employees of other airlines that are allowed to ride on them.
That 593 isn't the real number anyway. There are several thousand employees who applied for and received either a medical or religious accommodation. As opposed to giving them a reasonable accommodation as required by federal law, they choose to lay them off. The group is actively suing them.
Though it's my airline, I'm embaressed by their actions.
Then to top it off they will aim to have a diversified flight crew by hiring minorities and women. That means they are not going after the best. Perhaps, the best of a subset, but not necessarily THE best.
