Overall, the military's vaccination rate has climbed since August, when Defense Department leaders, acting on a directive from President Joe Biden, informed the nation's 2.1 million troops that immunization would become mandatory, exemptions would be rare and those who refuse would be punished. Yet troops' response has been scattershot, according to data assessed by The Washington Post.

Hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops have not yet complied with vaccine mandate as deadlines near
Hundreds of thousands of U.S. service members remain unvaccinated or only partially vaccinated against the coronavirus as the Pentagon's first compliance deadlines near, with lopsided rates across the individual services and a spike in deaths among military reservists illustrating how political division over the shots has seeped into a nonpartisan force with unambiguous orders.

i work for DoD. filed religious exemption. upper mgmt wants to act like that's not an option cause they have no comeback on that, other than an attempt at a gotcha questionnaire. i also dynamited a mgmt request for questions. gave them at least 20 (often two-parters). they act like they ask all the questions and give direction, and we can only ask limited questions.
ReplyDeleteit isnt just SWA either. AMTRAK. United airlines. heard GD, no confirmation. and air traffic controllers.
ReplyDeleteDefending the Republic filed a suit on behalf of the unvaccinated military members on Friday, asking for a restraining order while the case is heard. We should know soon if we got the restraining order.

Thank you. I had not heard about that.
DeleteFor anyone that cared to do the math, There were 62 deaths out of 250000 service members that had the disease. That works out to a fatality rate of 2 one hundredths of one percent. So can someone tell me why we are doing this?
ReplyDeleteGotta keep the panic going so the elections in 2022 can be vote-by-mail.
DeleteYou are 100% correct there. So glad I got to retire before all this BS

Now shut up and get in the boxcar!
You mean the anointed one, Obama has been working everything behind the scenes. Why else would he have set up office just down the street from the White House.

Note that a Dishonorable Discharge (DD) requires conviction by a General Court martial, it isn't something Joe Xiden can just whip out a pen and give an Executive Order. Insubordination isn't a sufficient charge for a General Court. Bluff and Bluster.

DeleteIn theory, at least. But then again, the Constitution puts a lot of theoretical limitations on what the government can do, too.
The FDA approved vaccine is not available in U.S. What they are giving out is not what they approved.

Why would any white guy want to fight on behalf of a racist govt. that hates them anyway. Dems hate the military and will only waste your life if they can anyway. Use the Chinese bioweapon to get out.
ReplyDeleteFar as I know the only way they can only use the discharge under insubordination is through Administrative Discharge. A dishonorable requires, as others have said, A court martial conviction. Insubordination, or failure to follow orders of getting vaccinated, only mandates "Office Hours", or handled within the immediate command by the command CO. But that info is many many many years old, now that I've reached the era of mostly grey.
