NYPD takes sergeants union chief's gun, shield after FBI raids

NEW YORK - The NYPD has placed the embattled former head of its sergeants union on modified assignment Wednesday, stripping him of his gun and shield, a day after federal agents raided the union’s office and his home.

  2. Riiiight, I'm sure his NYPD issued service weapon is the only firearm he has access to and if his badge was so important to him he wouldn't be a union chief.

    He stepped on some toes without the proper amount of dirt on the powers that be is all he did.

  5. Yeah, let's be honest. If he had embarrassed a Republican versus a Democrat, the F.B.I. wouldn't be involved -- probably even have his back, might even create something creative against the Republican mayor.
