RIght on, Gentlemen

After a violent week of fighting in school that saw 23 students arrested in three days, Southwood High School parents knew something had to change.

Some dads decided to take matters into their own hands. They formed Dads on Duty — a group of about 40 dads who take shifts spending time at the school in Shreveport, Louisiana, greeting students in the morning and helping maintain a positive environment for learning, rather than fighting.

    1. lol. Wait until those kids realize those dads can only give them dirty looks. After that the skies the limit.

  4. As the students said. Things calmed down after they showed up and started giving the "LOOK". Most important reason to have Dad in the home.

  5. Great story.

Extrapolate that effect into the millions of fatherless homes. We'd have a much different society.

  7. ABSOLUTELY NOT!
PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT ALL TO BE PART OF THEIR CHILDREN'S EDUCATION.
GARLAND WILL COME AFTER THESE INSURRECTIONISTS!

  8. I spent the summer in Shreveport back in '79 and it seemed pretty calm and laid back to me.
Why can't anything change for the better?

    2. Change for the better requires effort. Change for the worse requires only sloth. Guess which is easier (and encouraged by the Welfare State).

    3. Shreveport has changed dramatically since the late 70s/early 80s. Liberal politics and trashy leadership has taken a toll on the place.
