Vaccine mandates create conflict with defiant workers

BATH, Maine — Josh "Chevy" Chevalier is a third-generation shipbuilder who hasn't missed a day of work during the pandemic in his job as a welder constructing Navy warships on the Maine coast.

But he's ready to walk away from his job because of an impending mandate from President Joe Biden that federal contractors and all U.S. businesses with 100 or more workers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

  1. I’m not taking the vaccine. Screw Biden for forcing it on us.

  2. I am more convinced that this is a way to eliminate "normies" so as to make vacancies for their 3rd-rate "pets". After all, that is what they did with mandatory retirements in the USPS (Post Office). Next will be the legal action because their "pets" are not being promoted. Thoe "pets" may be lazy, unskilled, and uncooperative but they are always good legal ammunition. The "real"objective is always a few layers back.

    1. Mike-SMO, I ain't seen these "mandatory retirements" of which you speak. I left earlier this year at age 73, with better'n 36 years. Nobody forced me out.
      You got a source?

    1. Same here -- 43 years (not with 1 company), I'm being told if I don't get the jab within the week I'll be "resigning" Dec 8. So no chance of unemployment.

    2. Same boat here, but only 31 years in mine. I'm having to sell off my home and move to another state. I'm afraid this is going to crash the housing market right in the middle of my attempt to move.

  4. Why is no one calling for a National week long or month long strike and turning off the power to DC and the top ten or twenty largest American cities before the power plant workers walk off the job?

All those ships lined up outside LA and Long Beach? Leave them there, just add to the tally of ships waiting to unload on a daily basis.

Why are truckers not lining up in convoys across the exits to LA and Long Beach and all of the major North South and West East routes completely stopping commerce?

Are there no patriots left in the longshoreman's and trucker's unions?

What is the U.S. Navy going to do for new ships and ship maintenance, if shipyard workers across the country walk or the USAF going to do for more F35's that don't work if Boeing and McDonnell Douglas workers walk?

Oh, I got it, they'll subcontract the work to Chinese shipyards and aircraft manufacturing plants. What the hell, the Chinese have already stolen or been handed; by the Clintons, Kerry and the Taliban, all of our ship and aircraft technology anyway.

All of this "news" about empty shelves and ships lined up waiting to offload while somewhat true, I believe is designed to goose the economy, by driving people to stores and online shopping in the expectation of reduced future availability, especially since the news, today, of the July GDP #'s being reduced to 2%, when the revised number was forecast to be 7%. More bad economic news for Xiden.

This news of shortages and empty grocery shelves is the same thing Obozo did to goose the economy when we exited the great recession in 00's.

Jen Psaki, Xiden's mouthpiece and MSM sycophant, just this week suggested that maybe Americans expectations of full shelves at department and grocery stores needs to be lowered. How about making that a reality?

Remember, the U.S. economy ceased being a manufacturing based economy in the early 90's. It is now and has been a consumer and service economy. Stop consumption by shutting down goods delivery and the economy and consequently .gov dies.

For crying out loud .gov shut the country down by lying to us for over a year. I think it's about time we paid them back.

I've been preaching forbearance for a while. I'm done with that. If we're to ever get back a semblance of what we had, we need to start fighting back on a massive scale.

Shut it down. All of it, now!

    2. This only hurts us. The elites’ lives will always be good, signed, sealed and delivered. They’ve seen to it.
      There’s got to be a better way…

Because they know not enough people would do it to matter.

*giggle* We can create money; you lot can't. Judging by those commercials from Africa, starvation hurts like a motherfucker, but hey, if you want to try it, be our guest.
