Miami police said the woman, identified as Carolina Vizcarra, 33, left her 2-year-old daughter with an off-duty police officer on Tuesday, also handing him her daughter’s Social Security card and telling him she was going to the restroom at Mercy Hospital before walking away.

While I do understand her reasons, there were better ways to do what she did without placing the child in possible danger.
Oh. Come on. Police are usually good people. The daughter was in no danger.
ReplyDeleteI certainly hope this little girl finds a good, decent, loving couple in need of a beautiful child. Also, I hope the momma gets the help and education she desperately needs. Ohio Guy
ReplyDeleteThis may be the best thing ever for the little girl.
ReplyDeleteThere are some shitty parents out there, there are some good parents out there that have come to the end of their rope.
I wish this little girl all the best.
Kids come complete with a slave ID card these days. Good to know.
ReplyDeleteObvious she been playing in the wood pile. She is white scum beyond shadow of a doubt.
ReplyDeleteSome states have a voluntary foster care provision where the state can take temporary custody for 180 days or less. If I remember Michigan's correctly it was limited to the parent being incarcerated, hospital or military deployment and no suitable relatives available. So if you were going to be on the streets you would get popped with a neglect charge.
ReplyDeleteAs a side note, most of the parents I dealt with had one thing in common, they made poor decisions and planning wasn't a strong suite.
