Good on you, Virginia

Republican Glenn Youngkin is the new Governor of Virginia. The race was called early Wednesday morning.

Hours before the polls closed, Biden predicted a Democrat victory for Terry McAuliffe. But was he right at the time? His reasoning played into the general belief that Virginia was increasingly a "blue" state.

  1. Don't they still have the absentee ballots to finish counting?
What are the odds that the total absenteecount is about 1/2 the number of the total population, and 99.9% voted for the dem....

  2. Very good news indeed and maybe, just maybe New Jersey too?

  3. I'm sure I'm not the first to post this, but...
Of course, the implication here is twofold:
    1. Elections are all fair and balanced and there is NEVER ANY CHEATING WHATSOEVER!!!
    2. Elections actually change things. If I still really cared, I would watch Mr. Youngkin's actually policy / law enforcement work VERY closely. I'd put a bit of $$ on him being a leftist plant right now.

    1. Except the democrat refuses to concede until every mailed in ballot is counted. They will find enough ballots to flip this back to a dem victory.

    2. I’m with you on that. They all talk a big game then when elected they fall in ranks. If not they are taken to a back room and shown the JFK tape. Apparently he had big money behind him so thats a clue.

    3. Yup, sadly the winning votes are coming off the printing presses right now. The fat lady has yet to sing.

    4. All you needed to see was the Republican Primary shenanigans for VA to understand how RINO the VA Republicans have become...

They refused to have a simple vote. They put up seven candidates and demanded you choose your 1st through 7th choice. It wasn't till halfway through the election day that the Conservative camps discovered that, by their 'rules,' you could have 'elected' the same candidate for the 1st through 7th slot without being disqualified...

  4. we aren't blue. 95% of the state went 2A sanctuary. that isn't blue.they skimmed the vote in '16 using those machines. as you can see today, they can't cheat enough on a state election. they still cheated, youngkin was up by 8% going into the election, but only won by two. hopefully the house will flip as well. getting rid of the crooked attorney general will be huge as well.

  5. The only elections the commie left doesn't win are the ones where the winner is an acceptable RINO....and the "counting" form this one isn't done yet.

  6. Sigh. I wish the label of the Commonwealth being or becoming a Blue state is thought into more carefully. With the exception of the 4 Northern Virginia counties, the Commonwealth is a RED state. That the 4 Blue counties of Northern Virginia over represent the rest of the Commonwealth is a problem and a constitutional problem (Baker vs Carr in reverse) should someone come up with a clever argument to that effect and then enable a redrawing of our legacy state borders.

  7. There's an 82,100 margin according to AP, there are 88,000 outstanding mail-in ballots, McAullife hasn't conceded, in fact he's hired lawyers famous for flipping elections such as these.

I'm as Conservative as you can get. But, I also know the history of the VA Dems. They have till Noon on Nov. 5 to receive those mail-ins and the race won't be certified till Nov. 15. We no longer have an "election day." We have an election season and a hell of a lot more space for Dems to do their Mainstay shenanigans...

  8. Wiki page of an economic hitman...

In August 1995,[24] Youngkin joined the private-equity firm The Carlyle Group, based in Washington, D.C.,[23] initially as a member of the US buyout team.[20] In 1999, he was named a partner and managing director of Carlyle.[25][26] He managed the firm's United Kingdom buyout team (2000–2005)[20][27] and global industrial sector investment team (2005–2008), dividing his time between London and Washington.

Wonder if there's any jobs he can off-shore left in VA?

BTW, before there was BlackRock, there was The Carlyle Group. Guess he's a member of The Club, so no surprise the Clintonista faction lost this one.

    1. So, you'd rather have McAwfull continue as Governor, the guy who has flatly stated that the State of VA owns and controls what is taught in schools and parents have no say in the matter?

and how's things going in MN these days after the evidence of the big steal came out last week?

Any buildings still standing in Minneapolis or Kenosha or are they still all burnt to the ground?

How about property values in Minneapolis and Kenosha. I imagine they haven't quite hit rock bottom, yet. But, they might start bouncing back, now that some citizens seem to have seen the light and voted NOT to disband the police, although 42% still think that's a good idea.

How's little Somalia treating you native Minnesotans these days? Can you walk down the streets there at any time of day without being attacked by a bunch of crazed third world Muslim imports that sent an ungrateful illegal alien to CONgress to represent them. You know who I'm talking about. The woman who married her brother to illegally gain access to a green card. But, she's a Demonrat, so no harm, no foul.

You really ought not to throw stones until the mess that MN has turned into since they voted for Obama, to their detriment, in 2008 and 2012 is cleaned up. Not to mention, how's the Demonrat nutjob Tim Walz doing as governor of your state? Has he piled any new mandates onto the trash heap he's created limiting citizens rights lately?

We'll have to wait and see how Youngkin does as governor. If he holds to half of his campaign promises, VA will be much better off than under McAwfull and the Demonrat legislature they have until January 15, 2022.

  11. Just read that McAuliffe just conceded. Interesting, if true.
Any over/under on whether or not he will rescind his concession?

  12. One noticeable thing about this election year, every hillbilly that was eligible to vote showed up. The western part of the state is always ignored until they actually take the time to show up and vote.

  14. Will this be used as a gauge for the left to calculate the amount of fraud required going forward?
