Huh. I wasn't aware we had a State of Emergency

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Governor Bill Lee announced an end to Tennessee’s COVID-19 State of Emergency Friday.

“I am not renewing the COVID-19 state of emergency that expires tonight. For almost 20 months, this tool has provided deregulation and operational flexibility for hospitals and industries most affected by COVID’s challenges. Should our state face any future surges, we will consider temporarily reinstating this tool, but in the meantime, we are evaluating opportunities for permanent deregulation.”

  1. Is this the part where America starts getting their freedoms back?

    Me, I'm skeptical...

You can vote yourself socialism, but you usually have to shoot your way out.

  2. You mean you haven't been cowering in your house and hanging on every word they say? Shame on you.

  3. Exactly!
" So.. since nobody is paying any attention anymore anyways, we'll hold a press conference announcing it was our idea, in an attempt to seem relevant."

    1. yeah, Bill's been a real delight. In all fairness, he did manage to beat the dolt that Duncan was pushing -and the fakir from Hahvahd- but ol' Billy sure ain't nothin' to write home about.

He's done a bit of good; avoided some of the worst stupidities -not all- that got pushed at him; and he's not a Democrat or LaMar. So there's that. We'll have to see who wants a piece of him next round.

  4. I wondered what the deal was. I went to the Post Office here in West Tennessee today and nobody was wearing a mask and the signs were down.
At Kroger, it was the same; no signs and the melanin-enhanced were the only ones masked up, except for the worker bees.
