I love these Fucked Around and Found Out stories, don't you?

CHICAGO - An elderly man with a concealed carry license shot and killed a robber in Chicago on Saturday afternoon, police said.

The 77-year-old was in a garage on East 89th near MLK in West Chesterfield around 12:30 p.m. when the robber drove up.

  1. Never fuck with old people because:

Judge: "You have been found guilty and I sentence you to life in prision."
    Old Fart: "Big whoop."

  2. I think I can guess the race since the location was close to MLK Blvd. By the way, I have to thank all the cities that named streets after MLK. It's a warning for me to stay away from those places.

    1. All those streets will be renamed soon since MLK, an enemy of this State, wanted people to be judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin. Damned insurrectionist white supremacist.

I can't even laugh anymore. Glad he is dead though. My church vans have been hit twice.

  4. It still counts as one of Lori Lightfoot's "Shot in Chicago" tally.

  5. The most surprising part of this story is that someone in Chicago actually received a concealed carry permit.

  6. I reckon 77 sounds right old to middle aged people. Maybe it is. I'm only 72. I stay in pretty good shape and just finished staining my log home. Up on the roof staining gables and replacing soffit. I'm a little slower but still do the job with ease. My bod is old but the mind still sharp, I think. Point is, ya fuck with me or my family in an aggressive way, if I can, I'll lite you up like a Christmas tree. Yes, I've shot at people before in the military. Might have even tagged a couple. I have no reservation whatsoever in regard to protecting home and hearth. This isn't just big talk, I've been there. With that, I hope and pray no one ever puts me in that position.

    1. Bobo .. if a person meets the requirements and spends the scratch for the CCL class and license, IL is a "Shall Issue" state. However, there's an incredible backlog of applications. State law says the IL State Police have 90 days to issue the license. Last I heard, folks were waiting, on average, nearly 140 days. And don't get me started on renewals ... I know a fellow who's been waiting 14 months !!! for his renewal to come through.

  8. He's a "retired firefighter"... i.e., inside the protected circle of first responders, so OF COURSE he has a carry license. I understand that for most people in Chicago, however, that getting such a permit is extremely difficult and extremely rare. Give me Tennessee anytime.
