As the closing arguments in Kyle Rittenhouse's trial got underway in Kenosha, Wisc. on Monday, Judge Bruce Shroeder heard arguments as to the charges facing the man who is charged with six counts.
I am so fuckin sick and tired over the persecution, er, prosecution, rather, referring to his gun as a "military style" rifle...if it was a freakin Remington Model 700, would they call that a "sniper" rifle? Jeez...
Bad article. The jury may decide if Kyle provoked the attacked, and if they decide he did, he would forfeit the right(privilege) of self defense. https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2021/11/14/rittenhouse-jury-instructions-include-one-that-could-be-a-big-problem-for-the-defense-n474937
I watched the closing arguments and Kyle's attorney did a great job showing how it was self defense. I don't see how anybody on the jury can think otherwise.
There are simply far too many laws on the books for us peasants to "legally" defend ourselves from Leviathan. That young man will be convicted of "something". I'd bet money on it. Ohio Guy
It was always just a "Show Trial". Now we wait to see if the jury is paid for/intimidated or not (remember that the prosecution got to pretty much hand pick the jury, all with the complete support of the judge).

DeleteDuh! Did you miss the thing we did a few years ago about all of the sniper rifles in the hands of deer hunters?

You'll note that the judge denied the "privilege of self defense".
ReplyDeleteWhat does that mean? If it isn't self-defense, then he is guilty of murder. Please explain.

DeleteA jury is a funny thing, subject to ebbs and flows of reason and logic like the rest of society. Sic vis pacem…

DeleteHi! We're the OJ jury. Have we met?
I'd really like to see this prosecutor on a bigger stage, like using the same logic he used to cross-exam Rittenhouse to grill Alec Baldwin.
ReplyDeleteThe stage having a trap door and a rope, right?
