Those are only the direct taxes and fees. That gallon of gas is taxed from the moment it leaves the ground, every step of the way. A break down of those indirect taxes would be enlightening.
If we eliminate all the taxes and taxes on taxes, I get the impression fuel would be a nickel a gallon.
