      Both the women have a 'cockpit', they're sitting in a cockpit...

      Back in the 60's and 70's, the Stewardesses wore "Pilot" skirts. The skirts came down two inches below the cockpit.

    #3 - a good idea how to store an 'un-needed at the time' pick-up bed cap and be useful as an overhead sun cover. Too many chairs for comfort though or maybe I'm jut too much of a hermit.
