#1 I wonder if that was the conservation man from Virginia. He was hit a number of time up on Skyline Dr. He even had a melted pocket watch he was carrying with one strike. They claim when a lightning storm came along he was getting to hell outta Dodge. I can't blame him. I recall he was in the news and possibly they did a tv interview with him. That would a been maybe the seventies. I think he was from Elkton, Va.
He drove around with buckets of water in his truck to put his hair and eyebrows out when they caught fire. If I remember correctly it was way more the 7 times. I think it was 7 times that he fended a bear off with a stick.
