  1. Camo back from the grocery store a bit ago. Got there shortly after 8:30. Place was PACKED. You'd think they were giving food away.

  2. Filling up the car & 3 5-gal. cans, fucking WalMart gas station cut me of at $75.00. Didn't quite have the 3rd one full.
Since I never buy such a quantity, anyone know if that's standard practice?

    1. did you use a debit card??? because that's how they work at pay at the pump. The stations take out $75 (they can set it, but that's pretty typical) and hits your account for $75, then if you buy less, they refund it (a few days later). there's usually a notice for this on most pumps. (how much money they lock up your account for).

    2. If you use a debit card at pump it cuts off at $75. If you use the credit button instead it will let you pump as much as you want.

  3. Not a good time to do prepping. How long will your food supply last?

    1. Hold up. Isn't this simply anti-hoarding policy during the holiday season? I suppose some would deduce such policy as reason to initiate hoarding.

  4. Turkey is like eating sand, it's for uncultured savages; a juicy, sweet, honey-glazed ham is where the bliss is. Just hit two stores for two turkeys.

I would rather get a big ole box of deep fried chicken from a local chain and call it dinner. So much less work.

  7. Sunday morning the Wal Mart was totally empty on milk. Other shelves were barely stocked. The grocery my daughter works at is almost empty on frozen foods except for frozen pizza.

  8. Anybody know of a frozen pizza that's not too bad?

  9. Eugene, Oregon.
Wal*Mart and Fred Meyers (a knock-off 'super Wal*Mart') had photographs of canned goods with nothing on the shelves behind them.
    .
The Home Depot has photographs of generators with zero-zero-zero generators stocked.
"Well, we can order one for you. Expect it in a couple-three weeks..."
