YORKTOWN, Va. (WAVY) – The annual lighted boat parade is a fun holiday tradition for families in Yorktown, but this year’s has been marked with controversy. The winner was stripped of his trophy because of the political messaging on his boat.
Captain Bill Berger won over the crowd with his “Let’s Go Brandon” themed boat. “Let’s Go Brandon” and “FJB,” both of which appeared on the boat in lights, are code phrases used to criticize President Joe Biden.

Sounds like the design was "approved", so it was "approved". If someone didn't like it, change the rules/definitions for next year. Creative [or crazy] people always escape the "rules". This just draws more attention to the situation and makes those "in control" seem to be even greater fools. FJB
ReplyDeleteThen they disqualified him for it being too political.
ReplyDeleteJust like that Democrats no longer love the popular vote...
"Fallin'". He's landed. At the bottom. ...and then his handlers and the orange haired witch of the east are pleading, PLEADING mind you, with their sycophants in the press for better coverage. Apparently you're not supposed to criticize the unelected dicktater.

What a bunch of pussies. Glad I got out of that area when I did.
ReplyDeleteThey're weaseling. The winning boat's message was the speech of the boat owner not the organization. He's free to exercise it. It was not their speech and by restricting his speech they are doing just what they say they can't do, advocating or in this case restricting political speech, or, in other words, sponsoring speech contrary to the boats message. Idiots.
ReplyDeleteThe Steisand Effect makes him the winner Brandon loses. Again.
ReplyDeleteEither way funny as hell. He gets more publicity.
