FBI Director Chris Wray Says Antifa Is an ‘Ideology’ Not an ‘Organization’

FBI Director Christopher Wray's assessment that the far-left antifa network is an ideology, not a group or an organization, is coming under fire this week after prosecutors in San Diego charged several self-described anti-fascists in connection with eight alleged assaults. 

Antifa is "not a group or an organization," Wray testified before the House Homeland Security Committee last year. "It's a movement or an ideology."

That is why the status of the FBI is lower than the SS under hitler. You have someone missing? Claim they were in the capitol on jan 6th and they will be found in 2 days.

    Just so we're all clear, Antifa not an organization even though they have businesses listed in multiple states (try searching 'Antifa' in the business licensing service of Washington State and the State of Oregon), and they aren't terrorists pushing a political agenda...but if you're a conservative you're a terrorist and white supremecist?

    Is Marvin Heemeyer a movement/ideology, or is it an organization? Asking for a friend who likes tanks.

    When I was a kid, I wanted to be in the FBI because I thought it stood for Female Body Inspectors but I quickly lost interest when I learned otherwise. -Joely

    Antifa has structured their organization to make it as hard as possible to learn its hierarchy or track its planning and movements. One of the ways they do this is to agree a simple set of principles and train their members in the same anarchic activities so that everybody knows the drill when the time comes - the mob arrives, pre-trained. Then they use cryptic messaging to get the word out. They use cells, just like the pro-spies do, and this obscures their structure. That's not the same as not existing.

    That sounds like an organization to me. Wray sounds like someone that doesn't want to admit that his huge agency with its hefty Federal budget allocation, which taps into virtually every communication made in the US, (legally or illegally, whether we like it or not), still can't get a handle on a few hundred smelly, hairy, perforated radicals, dressed in all-black. I'd be embarrassed to admit it too. If I were a Congressman, I wouldn't be embarrassed, I'd be mad; I'd just start putting up their mugshots and asking Wray where the hell are these people right now and if you don't know Why Not>????.
