some folks, me included, tend to project their own needs on their pets. When its cold my wife will put a sweater and a hat on the dog to walk him. He's got a nice fluffy coat and will spend plenty of time, without his hat and sweater, scouting the back yard for rabbit poop to eat. That brings me to the people who moan "my cat/dog is such a picky eater, he just wont eat anything". I've never had a cat or dog that was that picky. My current dog, bobby, was on the streets, he knows hard times. He will eat anything that's food, was food (poop) or contained food (pizza box, chicken box). I dont like being in the dark, so I always leave a light on for bobby if I go out at night.
Today I learned that you can buy sweaters for goats. Thought they might be wearing booties too but I think it's just their coloring.
I have a sweater for my Westie, because dog jackets just do not fit him right. It works great until it gets covered in snow which then melts and then he's damp and wet and freezing.
This year he hasn't been groomed in over four months, for various reasons, and with the long fur even temps below -20C don't phase him. Nothing works as well as what nature came up with.
When you slam the gas in first gear

ReplyDeleteYou kids can’t go outside until you put your sweaters on
Man, when you are kid in the snow, its all Joy ... Lookit those little bastards run. It is good to be young and not have a care in the world.
ReplyDeleteSheep with wool sweaters. Now we can shut off the internet.

So, goats now need jackets to go out in the cold? Some people... Nemo
